Thankful Thursday

*Intruder drill: Our class was fantastic and quickly exited the building during the intruder drill. However, our (SUPER) inquisitive class had a lot of questions after the intruder drill.  I worked to answer their questions in both an age appropriate and respectful manner. As a fellow parent, I would recommend following up with your individual child in regards to questions he/she may still have that we were unable to discuss.

Questions for the dinner table
What can air do?
How does a parachute use air? (In order for the parachute to move through the air, it iust push the air out of its way. The air pushing back on the parachute makes it fall slowly. When any object moves through air, it is always slowed down by something called air resistance.)
What happens when air is pushed into a smaller space?
Stella has 38 ribbons. She gave some to Ruby. Now Stella has 12 ribbons. How many ribbons did Stella give Ruby?
How did we read our poem today? Why?
How would you break apart the word "obedience?" (During our shared reading, we worked on breaking tricky words into parts. We read Hero Dogs today.)
What did you list as some of your strengths as a learner? Growth areas?
