Since we do our homework in a packet form, there will be homework in this week's packet that we will not address until later in the week. You can refer to the notes below or you can have your child wait to do the homework until later in the week. Each page in the homework packet notes which day I am teaching which lesson.
Part of being an advanced mathematician is being able to think flexibly. This week we focus on different strategies for adding and subtracting. I have listed the strategies we are focusing on each day this week below.
Monday- Opener and pre-assessment
Tuesday: You can add by making a 10 (two digit and 1 digit addition)
Wednesday: No math because of a district assessment (NWEA)
Thursday: Add by grouping into 10 and ones (two digit and 1 digit addition)
Friday: Double Facts and Double Fact +1
