Our students are bringing home a nonfiction book tonight in their blue book bags. Each child marked at least one part of the text that he/she wanted to talk about and has a plan for how they will talk about that part. As your child reads, listen to the questions and thoughts your child has and add in your own thought, too!
Questions to ask yourself while your child is reading aloud to you:
Did my child find a page that he found interesting or important in some way?
Is my child reading (the words or pictures) like an expert?
