Welcome to First Grade!

Hello First Grade Families,
Welcome to our blog! I will update this blog frequently with pictures of your kiddos in action, reminders for upcoming events, and questions to ask your child about his/her day. First grade families have used our blog in the past as a tool for conversation on the trip home from school, during dinner, and even as a part of bedtime routines. Please sign up to receive an e-mail notification of new blog posts by entering your e-mail under FOLLOW BY EMAIL located on the tool bar on the right side of this page.

Your child will receive a post card in the mail this week welcoming him/her to first grade and inviting everyone to attend our Captain Kickoff this Monday, August 14 at 9:00am. Open House is a great time for students and parents to bring in supplies. I will help the children keep their desks organized this year by limiting the number of items in their desks. Throughout the school year, I will replenish crayons and markers as needed. Some items are shared by our whole class. I have listed the items that are individual, stored, and shared below. I will have instructions of where to put your school supply items during the Captain Kickoff, but wanted to share the information prior in preparation.
