Word Work:
The students took an assessment on the following words. After completing the assessment, I met with the students individually to discuss strategies they used when spelling these words.

Writing:
Today's lesson focused on creating powerful sentences.
If a sentence:
- goes on and on and on, add punctuation to break the sentence apart.
- ends too soon, add linking words such as AND, BUT, BECAUSE and SO.
- gets confusing, BE BRAVE and say it a new way
