Marvelous Monday

Big news for The Lightning Jeweled Golden Eagles: Our chrysalis hatched into butterflies! We were all excited to see how our pupa turned into adults. One of our little scientists challenged our thinking in wondering why our butterflies appeared to only have 4 legs, as insects are classified to have 6 legs. Read on to discover what we found out....

Questions for the dinner table:
-  How do you play SNAP it? (refer to Dr. Harger's message in this week's Captain Log on building mathematical fluency)
-  What happens when we fold a circle into two parts?
- Do our butterflies only have 4 legs? How do we know? ( blog from the Scientific American that we referenced: https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/lab-rat/butterfly-watch-four-legs-vs-six-legs/)
- How did you revise your personal narrative story today?

It's conference week! I am looking forward to meeting with each of you this week.
